The 100th article thus far
We have hit a milestone!
So here we are! This is the 100th article I have written thus far on medium. I do not expect to give a big speech or write a long essay but I would like to thank you all for sticking along through the tides. I still remember writing my first article just for the sake of it and it caused Arya and Sijo from Rethink Foundation to encourage me to continue writing.
I had hit the 50 article mark on December 31st 2018 and after that by following a life analysis+ essay each week, we crossed the remaining 25 or so weeks. A lot has changed in my life for the better as a result — I started feeling confident within as the space helped me feel at ease. I also eventually stopped caring about the claps as external validation should not influence my actions. In fact, I stopped checking my notifications on medium until one day an unintended mouse click ruined the 200+ unread notifications streak.
Moving forward, I intend to follow the one advice many have given me →less opinionated essays, more researched articles. I shall alternate and publish a technical article and a researched article each Tuesday — hopefully the two week time span between interleaving cycles will provide me with the necessary window to get it done.
Also at some point, when my personal website comes in to existence, I shall consider shifting over there as it would seem befitting to collect these months of thoughts together. Medium makes discovery easier for new audience — maybe at some point discovery will happen regardless. High hopes, but one can dream perhaps? ;)
If you have stuck around till this point — I truly thank you. You have probably read my TWTW’s or articles — you have invested hours from your life to read what I have to say — be it right or wrong. Since time is irrecoverable, I hope I did my best to make you feel it was worthwhile. Every action I take is directed for a cause I believe in, and getting to share those thoughts with you through my blogs is truly an honor I cherish.
Having said all this, I do not think I will write forever at this pace. New chapters will open in life — and priorities will shift. Regardless, I hope we stay connected over the years to come and radiate hope for a better tomorrow. Sometimes what people need are not motivational talks or professional help. They need to communicate in the best form they can and have someone listen to it.
Alright, that sure is a lot of rambling. Like I said, you can expect a shift in quality after this article — hopefully for the better. I look forward to reading your articles too! Let us make this a two way open communication.
Until next post, lets live each day wisely and value our time. Cheers.
